They invest in ambitious founders using technology to tackle big social and environmental problems that aim to radically improve millions of lives. The Tech For Good Programme gives you the best start to launching your tech for good venture. BGV's programm offers a £30k investment for 7% equity and three months of intensive learning. 

HOW OUR OFFER WORKS 

The journey of every portfolio company BGV works with starts on their Tech For Good Programme. After the Programme, they help you with your next stage of growth through our Post-Programme Support, focused on fundraising.

The BGV Platform is available to all their portfolio on an ongoing basis. BGV further invests in its most promising portfolio companies from pre-seed to Series A. Supporting teams with all-things early-stage and impact is what they do best. 

TYPES OF PROJECTS THE FUNDER SEEKS TO SUPPORT

Resource efficiency and circular economy, responsible consumption and production, sustainable agriculture, transportation and infrastructure.

As part of our Better Society theme BGV also works with Resolution Ventures to invest in WorkerTech - tech to improve the prospects, power and choices of workers.

  • For good health - prevention over cure.

Health and social care, preventative care, mental and emotional wellbeing, healthy lifestyles and ageing population.

Prerequisites / Application criteria

  • Innovative application of technology

To allow for a problem to be solved at greater scale or in a new way.

  • Scalability

With the potential to positively impact millions of lives and reach a £100-200m enterprise value within 10 years time.

  • Intentionality and purpose

Products and services developed with the intention to drive positive social or environmental outcomes.

  • Direct impact

A solution that can generate direct positive impact. Systemic solutions should have a credible hypothesis of how impact will be achieved.

  • Reducing inequality

Through affordability and accessibility that aim to reach the underserved and underrepresented.

Plus, some practicalities:

  • Your venture is at an early-stage and has been trading for less than two years.
  • Your team is available to take part in our 12-week hybrid programme run online and from BGV’s offices in London.
  • Your company is (or will be) incorporated in the UK but with global ambitions. You should also have the right to work in the UK.
